Dear Scholarship Applicant,

Congratulations on your acceptance into the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The University of Illinois is an exceptional intuition and we are excited to see what you will accomplish as a student during your time on campus.

The Illinois Chapter of Delta Upsilon and its Alumni Association is deeply dedicated to helping young men be successful. To that end, we will be offering scholarships totaling $2000 in financial support to incoming male students who have excelled in the areas of scholarship, leadership, community service, athletics and innovation.

Delta Upsilon is an international fraternity with a history that is rich in tradition and deep in pride. The oldest non-secret general fraternity, Delta Upsilon was founded on November 4, 1834 on the Williams College campus in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Our Founders selected Four Founding Principles as they established an association upon the ideal of Justice, Our Foundation:

  • The Promotion of Friendship
  • The Development of Character
  • The Diffusion of Liberal Culture
  • The Advancement of Justice

Delta Upsilon Fraternity created the Men of Merit Scholarship to recognize, reward and celebrate the accomplishments of incoming students and to inspire them to continue a personal journey towards success. This year the Men of Merit scholarship will be honoring two exceptional Illinois Delta Upsilon Alumni.  The following scholarships are available:

  • Scott Harrington Honorary Scholarship – $1,000
